Each year, this festival attracts about 30,000 people to Alameda Park (in Santa Barbara, CA) throughout the weekend and we were privileged to be a part of it this year! The SB Earth day Festival is an eco-friendly celebration, spreading awareness about our Earth and information on how to protect and nourish it. Our booth was in the "Eco Marketplace" and featured many woodburnings, dreamcatchers, printed/original art on canvas, wire wraps, keychains, and for the first time ever, 'Reincarnated Rags' (awesome recycled, handmade bags/purses). We had a $5 raffle throughout the weekend for a giant dreamcatcher (estimated $200 value). Out of about 25 entries, a local community member won the prize!
Also, Maddy did some facepainting (by donation) and it was quite popular. If you see her around town with a brush and two chairs, she may very well be at it again! ;) The whole event was a lot of fun for us and we sold enough art to make it worth our while. Thank you to all our friends who came to show support and/or to those who bought our art! <3 :)
